Rangers Continue Winning Streak Against Dundee
Borna Barisic's stunner seals 3-1 win at Ibrox
Rangers recorded their eighth consecutive victory over Dundee in all competitions with a 3-1 triumph at Ibrox on Saturday.
The Light Blues dominated the match from start to finish, taking the lead through Malik Tillman's tap-in just 20 minutes in. James Tavernier doubled the advantage from the penalty spot shortly after, before Rabbi Matondo added a third just before half-time.
Dundee pulled one back through substitute Zak Rudden in the second half, but Rangers held on to secure all three points and maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
The victory was marred by the sending off of Fashion Sakala in the second half, but Rangers were able to see out the game with 10 men.
Speaking after the match, Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst praised his team's performance.
"I'm very happy with the win," he said. "We played very well, especially in the first half. We created a lot of chances and scored three good goals.
"It was a bit more difficult in the second half after Fashion Sakala was sent off, but we defended well and deserved to win."
The win takes Rangers top of the Scottish Premiership table, two points ahead of Celtic. The Light Blues will be looking to extend their winning streak when they host Hearts at Ibrox next weekend.
